Listen! The wind is rising,
and the air is wild with leaves,
We have had our summer evenings,
now for October eves!

Anonymous asked:
so how did you first decide you wanted to study fashion journalism? or what led you in that direction?
luxe-pauvre answered:
A combination of:
- At the time, and still now, fashion magazines/literature is a something I very much enjoy reading in my spare time. It seemed important to me (especially when I was 15/16) to chose a career path that I would enjoy.
- At the time I chose the course I had completed an internship at a local fashion magazine which I loved. I realised I was not only interested in but good at the ‘business’ side of things: the logistics, the organisation, the editing.
- In the UK system you choose your A Levels at 15/16 and the A Levels you choose dictate what you can study at university as each course has different entry requirements. I’ve written about A Level choice trouble as a result of my school, and the problem my love of a lot of subjects caused in some detail here.
(For those confused and thinking ‘but you don’t study fashion journalism?’ I refer you to the above ‘here’, and also to here.)
